**EXCLUSIVE** Interview with Yami Chambers

Yami is probably most known for her no nonsense personality on Ustream. It started out when Yami was working as a personal assistant for Teyana Taylor, the two had great on screen chemistry that kept audiences laughing. Shortly after Yami branched into her own Ustream Channel, and it was just as funny! But with media always on the prowl for a new scoop, Yami soon came under attack from comments she made about Chris Brown and Rihanna's infamous incident on her ustream show. I remember trying to watch both Teyana and Yami's Ustream at the same time, hoping that Ustreams dynamic duo would not let the ruthless bloggers drive a wedge between a real friendship.


Now, Yami is branching out to make a name for herself. With loyal followers behind her, she continues to crack up audiences on Ustream and at 21 years of age I am sure we will be seeing a lot more from her. And did I mention Yami is a dancer? Yep, she can be seen in Jay-Z "Blue Magic" video. 

Yami, currently residing in NYC, gave the Ebony and Ivory Blog an exclusive interview and here is what :she had to say:

E&I: What’s your full name, like is Yami short for something?

YC: YAMIRIS JOANN CHAMBERS

E&I: What do you want people to know about Yami?

YC: I WANT PEOPLE TO KNOW THAT IM A REAL INDIVIDUAL AT THEEND OF THEDAY. I SUGAR COAT NOTHING. IM JUST ME. EITHER U LIKE OR U DONT.

E&I: What nationality are you?

YC: PANAMANIAN AND SCOTTISH

E&I: What was is like growing up in New York biracial?

YC: I NEVER REALLY HAD ISSUES GROWING UP. BECAUSE I LOOK BLACK. KEKEKE

E&I: Do you have most missed memory?

YC: MY MISSED MEMORY IS WHEN I USED TO BE "MS.106&park". I WOULD GO ALL THE TIME, IT WAS SO MUCH FUN.

E&I: How long have you been a dancer?

YC: I'VE BEEN DANCING FOR 8YRS. I TAUGHT MYSELF HOW TO DANCE. I STARTED OUT ONLY DOING DANCEHALL, AND THEN JUST GOT INTO ALL OTHER ASPECT OF DANCE. 

E&I: What would be your ideal job?

YC: I REALLY DONT HAVE AN IDEAL JOB. I WANT TO DO SO MANY THINGS. BUT AT THE END OF MY ENTERTAINMENT RUN, IM GONNA SETTLE DOWN TO BECOME A MEDICAL EXAMINER.

E&I: What was it like working on the Blue Magic Video with Jay-Z?

YC: IT WAS A FUN BOMB ASS EXPERIENCE, (WORKING) WITH JAYZ WAS THE COOLEST THING EVA. TO EXPERIENCE HIS SWAG IN PERSON WAS THE SHYT!! WORKING (WITH) PHARRELL WAS DOPE AS HELL TOO.

E&I: Everyone remembers the ustream video of you speaking on the Chris Brown/Rihanna incident. Looking back, would you have done it differently?

YC: NOPE. NOT AT ALL. I STILL STAND BY EVERYTHING THAT I SAID IN THE VIDEO. I WOULDN'T CHANGE A WORD. IF I COULD CHANGE ANYTHING BOUT THE VIDEO, I WOULD'VE LOOKED BETTER IN IT...KEKEKEKE.

E&I: Where do Teyana Taylor and your friendship stand as of today?

YC: WE'RE NOT CLOSE LIKE BEFORE. BUT IT AINT NO BEEF.

E&I: When can we look forward to seeing the Yami Show on Ustream again?

YC: REALLY SOON HOPEFULLY. I DONT HAVE MY OWN LAPTOP THAT'S WHY I DONT GO LIVE AS OFTEN AS I WOULD LIKE. BUT EVERY TIME I HAVE ACCESS TO ONE, I GO LIVE.

E&I: The world (i.e. all the fellas on twitter) wants to know is Yami single. So are you?

YC: YAAAAASSSSSS HUNNAYY! I AM SINGLE.

E&I: Would you ever date someone inside the entertainment industry and why are why not?

YC: YES I WOULD. BUT I'D ACTUALLY PREFER BEING WITH SOMEONE OUTSIDE OF THE INDUSTRY.

E&I: If you were a super hero, what would your name be and what power would you have?

YC: MY NAME WOULD BE "YAMINATOR" AND ID BE ABLE TO FLY, ELECTRICUTE, READ MINDS AND MAKE MYSELF INVISIBLE.
