Light Skin VS Dark Skin: Music Edition

So, the African American community has always had issues and conversations around skin color. Some Blacks dislike others because their skin color is darker or lighter, some envy others because their skin color is darker or lighter. I am not sure if you noticed (hell for all I know you might be blind) but I am dark skinned and the Ivory is light skinned (Thus why we are the Ebony and Ivory). Because of this we have conversations about skin color and this sparked my curiousity, Do other races/ethnicities have these same thoughts about Blacks? That one shade may be better than the other? So I decided to take a look at the females in the Music Industry first.
