Ebony Thoughts: Chris Brown

|

I have stayed away from the Chris Brown Saga because frankly, it's old news and I really don't care either way. But this dude right here....Okay let me explain. CB went on his twitter page to express his anger at stores "blackballing" his new ablum Graffiti. Read the tweets below before I GO IN!!!

I don't understand. I am not judging, nor am taking sides in the overly publicized feud, for lack of a better term. But damn it, what did he think was gonna happen?  Clearly its time for Chris to get some new people around him giving him advice if he thought that he would be able to PLEAD GUILTY to beating up his girlfriend and bounce back the same year. Where they do that at? Since the "incident" earlier this year, Chris has took no time out of the spotlight. He has pretty much done the opposite.  Whether its his interview with Larry King, or his YouTube apologies, we see this dude more than most parents see their kids. He has not given us time to forget his actions but yet he expects everything to be back to normal. IT DON'T WORK LIKE THAT.

This was a BAD time for his album to come out whether he was being blackballed or not. First of all, it's already a recession. If people got to choose between Chris Brown's album and Bologna, I am pretty sure they are gonna choose bologna. Secondly, His albums follows Rihanna's and we all know by now how big of a flop that was. If she can't get any sales and she sold her album for $0.99 at one time, CB is surely not gonna have no luck.

I know he is young, and I know he was probably ready to dish out album (probably as a form of release) but timing is everything. He should have pulled a Tiger Woods and took a step out of the lime light indefinitely. Give your fans time to miss you. Give their parents time to forgive you.

His ass should be doing nothing but different community service ventures. Feeding the hungry, visiting sick kids in the hospital, talking to juveniles in prison...something. But no, he rather be playing the victim and crying about people not liking him. What? Y'all no I am telling the truth. First he was mad at Oprah, then at BET for not letting him come to the awards, now the store. SHUT IT UP. He should spend his time giving people a reason to like him, a reason to wanna buy and sell his music. He can't expect everything to be the same because he said sorry.

And besides, you can't diss the BIG O and think you are gonna be liked or sell anything....period.

And those are just my thoughts...
